Avoid “Drunk Dialing” with the Dial Lock

It’s late, you’ve been drinking and you can’t stop thinking about your ex or that girl/guy you just met… Even though we know drunk dialing is going to make things worse between you and the person you’re calling, sometimes it’s irresistible.

What is Drunk Dialing?

If you’ve made a phone call under the following circumstances, it’s considered drunk dialing: usually after the consumption of alcohol, often late at night/very early in the morning, while you’re emotionally stressed, and with no plan for what you’re going to say. If you make a phone call under these conditions, no matter how good an idea it seems at the time, you’re going to look like a dork at best and desperate at worst. Neither of these traits appeals to the object of your romantic interest.

How can you avoid Drunk Dialing?

The best way is to avoid drunk dialing is to not use alcohol as the salve for your emotional wounds. However, we’re pragmatists at Saltlick Labs, so we invented the Dial Lock for the Little Black Book. Import romantic contacts from the iPhone’s Address Book, set the Dial Lock on and off times, and slide to the On position. It’s that simple: your night on the town is now free from disaster.
