The majority of men regard flirting as natural. Is it really? Actually, it is deemed as the primary instinct for human interaction. It has become a crucial part of humanity associated with social fun. Men flirt with women to attract them. It enables him to know her before asking her out. However, not all men share the same intention. Others only do it for the fun of it. Here’s what you need to know how to flirt with women.

Have Fun

Most women take flirting casually and positively. For them, it is one way of showing a man’s appreciation and admiration for her. Among men’s flirting tips is to comment on the most obvious, such as telling her how smart or pretty she is. Flirting with women basically commences on simple things and gets deeper and deeper as time goes on.

No Regrets

Those men who do not pay due respect to flirting tips end up with a number of regrets and mistakes. If you are not interested to pursue a romantic relationship with a particular woman, then flirt differently. Flirting also requires varied approaches based on the kind of relationship you want to maintain or pursue. Take note that flirting can end up to different outcome.

It’s All In The Touch

You may flirt using light and gentle touches to give subtle spice to a platonic relationship. But how about if there is an unspoken chemistry between you and the girl? Only few guys know the right reaction to this. For most guys, they tend to approach the girl and declare straight away their love. Such manner works efficiently for some, and fails for many guys.

Spill the Beans

One flirting tip to bear in mind is to be aware that only few women trust and believe a sudden confession. This is because of the perception that true love waits while infatuation does not. Flirting with women paves the way for you to know what is in their mind or what they feel. If there is a girl you want to build a relationship with, then flirt with her to know if she feels similarly for you. Considering that you are already good at this, then you are likely to get a better insight about flirting producing various results.

Practice Makes Perfect

Flirting with women does not yield favorable outcome all the time. At some point, the result will make you want to crawl and hide forever. Your flirting experiences with women will prepare you for the time when the right one comes along. By then, you are very much capable of luring her towards you. When that happens, consider it an achievement.

It’s late, you’ve been drinking and you can’t stop thinking about your ex or that girl/guy you just met… Even though we know drunk dialing is going to make things worse between you and the person you’re calling, sometimes it’s irresistible.

What is Drunk Dialing?

If you’ve made a phone call under the following circumstances, it’s considered drunk dialing: usually after the consumption of alcohol, often late at night/very early in the morning, while you’re emotionally stressed, and with no plan for what you’re going to say. If you make a phone call under these conditions, no matter how good an idea it seems at the time, you’re going to look like a dork at best and desperate at worst. Neither of these traits appeals to the object of your romantic interest.

How can you avoid Drunk Dialing?

The best way is to avoid drunk dialing is to not use alcohol as the salve for your emotional wounds. However, we’re pragmatists at Saltlick Labs, so we invented the Dial Lock for the Little Black Book. Import romantic contacts from the iPhone’s Address Book, set the Dial Lock on and off times, and slide to the On position. It’s that simple: your night on the town is now free from disaster.

While the little black book is a relatively recent invention, the LBB’s ancestors sauntered their way into history a very long time ago. Delilah Marvelle claims that Harris’s List of Covent Garden Ladies, first published in 1757, was the very first little black book. While it certainly seems close enough to qualify, there are two differences of note between Harris’s List and the modern little black book. First, no phone numbers (no surprise there). Second, the only persons listed were prostitutes.

The list was the work of an unholy pairing of poet and pimp: Jack Harris (aka John Harrison), the “Pimp General to the People of England”, and the impoverished poet Samuel Derrick. Derrick had empty pockets and a stinging wit. Harris had collected a prodigious list of London prostitutes and their services and he had a name he didn’t mind publicizing. Together, their talents created a best-seller: Harris’s List was believed to have sold a quarter of a million copies during the course of its print run (1757 to 1795), an enormous number for the time.

Ur-LBBs like this continued throughout the centuries, from the Blue Books of New Orleans around the turn of the last century to contact magazines and ads of the present day. But it would take a technological and sociological revolution to bring us the little black book we know and love today.

The use of the phrase “little black book” in its present meaning surfaced in the 1930’s. The telephone had been around long enough to become widespread and to allow pocket telephone/address books (proto-LBBs) to gain popularity. It’s also no coincidence that the Little Black Book came into popularity right after the Roaring 20s. Changing attitudes toward sexuality and the role of women in society meant that it again became (somewhat) acceptable for non-working girls and boys to be known for their ability to have a good time.

Telephones, the Roaring 20s, liberated women, and the ever-present biological imperative - the perfect ingredients for a lasting piece of pop culture.

What do you give the person who has everything? We all have a few friends like that – they either like their lives simple and their posessions few, or they’ve already bought every toy they can buy. And really, there are only so many novelty gifts that you can throw at a member of the young and mobile digital set.

You’re going to want to a find a gift that fits their lifestyle. You’re looking for something portable, preferably digital, that can help keep a hyper-social, multi-tasking life in order (or keep the said hyper-social multi-tasker sane). Hmmm, sounds familiar… Little Black Book to the rescue! Ok, ok, so it’s easy to find any number of iPhone or computer apps that fit that bill. Why the LBB?

Privacy is precious in a world in which even your most personal conversations can become public. The Little Black Book’s PIN lock, intimate photo gallery and totally anonymous relationship advice give the modern socialite the tools to keep their private life discreet.

So many people, so little time to remember their names… much less their favorite movie or where they like to eat. Since effective networking is the key to success in the business world and the bedroom, you just can’t afford to forget. The Little Black Book let’s you take note of all kinds of useful details alongside names and numbers. Give your hyper-social friend the gift of a photographic memory that fits in their pocket.

It’s becoming more and more popular to do more with less, to be sustainable, and to go green. What better fits that description than a piece of software (no waste!) that makes a handy gadget you already have even handier? Also, by entering all those important little details into your Little Black Book, you not only keep them private, you save paper.

Saltlick Labs is constantly working to improve the applications they have on the market. Which means that the Little Black Book will keep getting better and better, at no cost to you or the friends you give it to. How can you beat that?

The little black book gets a piece of the media limelight from time to time – Fonzie flaunted it on Happy Days, Hef wrote a book about his, and it even got it’s own movie back in 2004. But the little black book always gets the most attention when it’s at its most scandalous – as the exclusive and secretive client list of a madam to the rich and famous.

The first notorious LBB incident in recent memory was the 1995 case of Hollywood madam extraordinaire, Heidi Fleiss. She went to prison rather than give up her book or any information on her clients. However, she didn’t lose out completely – her 2003 book Pandering gave her a chance to tell her side of the story and make a few bucks in the bargain. But even in Pandering, there’s not a whisper of the contents of her little black book.

Not so with more recent super-madams, Hollywood’s Jody “Babydol” Gibson and Manhattan Madame Kristin Davis – both women turned their convictions into book deals by writing tell-alls that divulged their little black book’s deepest secrets. While Babydol’s confessions no doubt made some Hollywood stars uncomfortable, it’s not as if that’s a town that’s unused to the combustable pairing of sex and controversy. But when the Manhattan Madam opened up her little black book last year, it was another story.

Let’s just start with the fact that Kristin Davis was rumored to have the biggest black book in America, chock-full of names of men who were willing to pay $1,000 an hour for the services of Davis and her call girls. Top that with her tie-in to the Elliot Spitzer scandal (Davis was the former Madame of the Emporer’s Club) and a long term with relationship with A-Rod… that’s a lot of powerful people in a lot of hot water just because of one little book.

But even the Manhattan Madam might be considered small fish compared to “Miz Julia,” also known as Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the head of the DC-based escort firm Pamela Martin & Associates. Her takedown by the authorities in 2007 brought a deputy secretary of state with her. After her assets were frozen by the federal government, she too opened her little black book, though this time for free. What was amazing was the sheer volume – when she handed over a sampling of her client records to ABC news, the documents weighed in at 46 pounds. Her story is also unique in its utterly tragic ending – not long after being convicted of racketeering, using the mail for illegal purposes, and money laundering in the spring of 2008, she committed suicide.

The moral of the story? Well, if there is one, it’s that you’ll save yourself a lot of trouble if you keep your little black book to yourself. But if you used to cater to the rich and famous and you find yourself facing jail time… it might just be worth the hassle.
